Alliance Polymers & Services, LLC (APS) offers TPEs, TPVs, and TPUs for bonding onto tool handles and grips.

The following grades provide the perfect choice - depending on desired performance, for tool handles that are ergonomic and soft to the touch, as well as slip resistant, chemical resistant, abrasion resistant and shock absorbent:

Maxelast®P3760 TPE material is formulated for PP overmolding or standalone usage.  Available in a 60A Shore hardness, it offers a chemical bond between itself and the rigid polypropylene substrate. Maxelast® grades require no drying time, are easily colored, process easily, provide superior bonding performance and consistent mechanical properties.  Maxelast® is offered in a Shore hardness range of 10A to 95A for this type of application.

Viprene®G60A-32U-NAT is a UV and heat stabilized TPV (thermoplastic vulcanizate elastomer). This material can be easily processed by injection molding as it exhibits easy flowing characteristics.  Available in a 60A Shore hardness, it offers excellent adhesion to polypropylene and other substrates.  Viprene® G-Series is available in a Shore hardness rage of 35A to 50D.

Zythane® 6070A is a Shore 70A non-plasticized polyether-based TPU specifically formulated for injection molding. It exhibits excellent abrasion resistance and hydrolytic stability.  It is also resistant to oil, fuel and solvent resistance. Zythane® 6000-Series is available in a Shore hardness range of 70A to 65D.
