Viprene® TPV Developed for Rugged Applications

Engineered under the direction of the plastic industry’s leading engineers, Roger Huarng and Stephane Morin, APS Elastomers’ Viprene® thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPVs) are compounded with a polyolefin phase and a cross-linked EPDM phase, which give products rubber-like performance. With a high compression set for rugged applications, Viprene® high performance P-Series TPV can be ordered in natural or black pellets and is available in a wide range of Shore hardnesses – from 35 Shore A to 50 Shore D.

Applications include, but are not limited to, gaskets, O-rings, door and window seals, power steering, brake and fuel hoses, electrical insulation, construction and industrial parts.

Benefits of Viprene® P-Series of TPVs include:

  • ·         Processes like a thermoplastic material

  • ·         High heat stability; low temperature flexibility

  • ·         Resistant to oils

  • ·         Excellent abrasion resistance

  • ·         Lightweight

  • ·         Recyclable

The Viprene® P-Series is competitively priced and supported by a network of highly technical personnel ready to help OEMs and processors select the precise grade. APS Elastomers also offers custom and standard soft elastomer formulations. “Our team offers the knowledge of all TPE, TPUs and TPVs – providing technical support and chemical expertise”, says Stephane Morin, owner of APS Elastomers.
