Soft Thermoplastic Vulcanizates (TPVs) Available at Alliance Polymers & Services

APS offers its own brand of soft thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPVs)  sold under the trade name Viprene®.  

Viprene® G – a general purpose TPV, combines the various mechanical performance properties of thermoset rubber with the processing ease of plastics. These materials offer good flexibility at low temperatures as well as long-term resistance in harsh environments and demanding applications where abrasion, chemical, and UV resistance are required. 

Features include:
  • Applicability in appliance and window seals, gaskets, electronic components, cable jacketing, boots and bellows, and marine products.
  • Available in pellets of natural and black.


APS can provide samples on request for molding trials and can ship small to large production runs of the TPVs.

Features and specifications of these low-cost grades of TPEs include good colorability, a Shore A hardness range of 20A to 90A, a tensile strength of 120 psi (ASTM D412) and a tear strength of 340 psi.

APS Launches Extrusion Series of Polyether-Based TPUs



Romulus, MI - North America’s newest provider of thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs) – APS (Alliance Polymers and Services, LLC) – announces the availability of the firm’s newest 7000Series of Zythane® TPUs.
 
These polyether-based thermoplastic polyurethanes are formulated for pneumatic tubing, cable jacketing, technical profiles and film and sheet, among other extrusion applications.

The new series of Zythane® TPUs are comparable in every way to the grades offered by established competitors.  In addition, they are available at extremely competitive pricing levels and backed by the highest levels of technical support in the industry.  They can also be formulated with UV stabilizers.

Viprene® TPV

Supplied as natural or black pellets, Viprene®  thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) grades are offered in hardness ranges from 45 Shore A to 50 Shore D and combine mechanical performance of thermoset rubber with processing properties of plastics. TPVs offer flexibility at low temperatures as well as long-term resistance in harsh environments and applications where abrasion, chemical, and UV resistance are required. Depending on grade, TPVs can be injection molded, extruded, or blow molded.

Viprene® G-Series

Viprene® G is formulated to compete with the leading grades of thermoplastic vulcanizates. They are offered in hardness ranges from 45 Shore A to 50 Shore D and have been developed for applications ranging from appliance and window seals to rollers, mechanical equipment, gaskets, electronic components (cable jacketing), boots and bellows and marine products plus any products that need vibration dampening components.
