Roger Huarng, Principal at APS Compounding is pleased to
announce new partner, Dr. Tonghua Zheng. Dr Zheng joined the firm
effective August 1, 2014, succeeding Stephane Morin who will devote his attention
to APS Elastomers, and serve as an ad hoc consultant.
Dr. Tonghua Zheng received his PhD in chemical engineering
from Tulane University. Dr. Zheng served as process chemist at Johns Manville’s
fiberglass research and manufacturing division, as well as polyurethane product
development at BASF before starting his own specialty polymer research and manufacturing
firm, BHK Specialty Polymer, LLC in Toledo, Ohio.

“Increased demand for thermoplastic elastomers (TPE), along
with integrating new technologies was the impetus for obtaining additional
partners”, says Roger Huarng. “Our combined chemical and manufacturing
expertise will allow us to increase production capacity, compound standard and
custom grades, and develop new product offerings; further advancing our
commitment to the TPE market in North America.”
