Continuous innovation in all areas of the elastomer business inspires APS Elastomers to develop new applications and better processing techniques in order to better assist OEMs and processors to manufacture their end products successfully and efficiently. APS Elastomers now offers TPUs ideally suited for calendering, compounding and extrusion for applications such as airbags, inflatable items, and other heat sealable fabrics.
Available in Shore A 85 – Shore D 95, these polyester-based TPUs offer excellent mechanical properties, high abrasion and tear resistance, and a short cycle time. “Our mission is to provide guidance on thermoplastic elastomer selections and processing insights in a cost-effective way”, says Stephane Morin, owner of APS Elastomers.
In addition to thermoplastics polyurethanes (TPU), APS Elastomers offers other thermoplastic elastomer raw materials (TPEs) such as styrenic-based thermoplastic elastomers (TPE-S), thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPV), thermoplastic polyester elastomers (COPE) and fluoropolymers (PVDF).
