APS Elastomers Celebrates 5 Year Anniversary

APS Elastomers, formerly known as Alliance Polymers & Services, celebrated five successful years in business. “These past five years have seen exciting changes, exponential growth and innovate solutions to our customers”, says Stephane Morin, co-owner of APS Elastomers.

APS Elastomers was founded by two of the plastic industry’ s leading marketing and technical support executives,  Roger Huarng and Stephane Morin in September of 2009. From modest beginnings in a 5,000 square foot building, APS has expanded to a 20,000 square foot warehouse which also houses a 63mm twin screw extruder dedicated to specialty elastomer compounds. “We are elastomer specialists whose mission remains the same; provide quick, affordable solutions with high performance results”, says Roger Huarng.

APS Elastomers provides engineering service, technical support, and TPE materials (TPEs, TPVs, TPUs and other soft elastomers) for consumer and industrial applications. “We continue to expand our TPE portfolio by adding new product offerings and aligning ourselves with TPE partners to better serve our customers in North America”, says Stephane Morin. Company offerings have grown to include Maxelast® TPEs, Viprene® TPVs, Huntsman Polyurethanes' IROGRAN® and AVALON® TPUs, Zythane® TPUs, TPE alloys, compounding series, and custom and standard soft elastomer formulations.  “Our ability to source material globally, acquire new products and services insures we provide quality elastomers at the most competitive pricing”, adds Stephane Morin.

APS Elastomers Introduces TPU for Flat Conductor Network Cables

APS Elastomers has developed extrusion grade thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) for flat conductor network cables. Flat cables allow more options in designs; producing cables that weigh less, create more space, and improve performance and safety. Their low profile enables them to hug surfaces and take advantage of tight space. Produced in an extrusion process; they can be sheathed without using adhesives that effect product performance.

Additional performance features of the TPU extrusion grade for flat conductor network cables include flexible insulation wall strength, resistance to abrasion, kink resistant, moisture, chemical and microbial resistance. Furthermore, the TPUs' thermal insulation properties provide heat aging stability, low temperature flexibility, and good voltage strength. "Our new grade, along with our ability to custom formulate enables us to provide OEMs improved and cost-effective solutions to meet their specifications”, says Stephane Morin, owner of APS Elastomers.

APS Elastomers is committed to providing in-depth and high level customer and technical service, problem-solving, product development and support to designers, OEMs and processors; building relationships based on knowledge, trust and experience.  APS Elastomers also provides beside-the-press consulting, full laboratory services, and expedited shipment.
